Dynamic designs in wrapping paper and
greeting cards inspired by the Modern style. Abstract graphics and
bright colors blend into geometric patterns - intended to stimulate both
the eye and mind!
Based in Princeton, New Jersey, TRIMORPHOS was founded in 1999 by an
engineer and two architects, with the aim of re-invigorating abstract
pattern design in greeting cards, wrapping paper (gift wrap). |
 |
TRIMORPHOS recently
introduced greeting cards and gift tags to compliment the
collection of gift-wrap paper.

TRIMORPHOS makes no
secret that we take cues from twentieth century design. While following
in the traditions consciously and deliberately, we are not paralyzed by
reverence. We belong to a generation of designers that are not wedded to
a narrow or solely stylistic definition of pattern making.
Through our
work, we seek to broaden the public’s way of thinking about how color
and form change according to their positions, scale and surrounding. As
like-minded designers, we believe that twentieth century design can be
resurrected in more modern embodiments. Trained in the shaping of
three-dimensional forms, we have turned our attention to re-structuring
the two-dimensional surface of wrapping paper or gift wrap.

In our work, we
seek to transform a potential painting into a pattern by identifying and
isolating the repeatable elements, reducing or enlarging their scale and
reordering them into a varied but visually cohesive system. Since our
inception,
TRIMORPHOS has experienced a steady rate of growth. We are pleased that
TRIMORPHOS products are now available in over 500 fine retail stores and
museum gift shops throughout the United States and Canada, as well as
expansion into an international market.
In our passion to convey our enthusiasm
to others, TRIMORPHOS has transformed not only modern pattern making but
also the way people think about wrapping paper (gift wrap) and
greeting cards. |
